“Bright Minds – shaping spaces for research”, Busselli Scherer and THE PLAN present their first book

An editorial journey through the NOI Techpark D2 project to get to know the architectural vision of Busselli Scherer firm.

One year after the inauguration of the mixed-use building dedicated to research into the future of food, the South Tyrolean architecture studio, led by Roberto Busselli and Michael Scherer, has produced a project monograph edited by THE PLAN Editions. With ‘Bright Minds’, Busselli Scherer highlights the values, design choices and behind the scenes of a process where human architecture is both the driving force and the point of arrival.

In the words of Pierre Alain-Croset (Politecnico di Milano), author of the critical text of the monograph, the essence of the publishing project:

With great intellectual honesty, this book offers insights into the “how” and “why” behind the design choices. The emphasis is in particular on the method and design philosophy adopted by the Busselli Scherer studio, rooted in a commitment to listening and combining the many disciplinary skills essential to successfully navigating the design of a particularly complex building.

A “behind-the-scenes look” would be an apt subtitle for the book: the process of architects, structural engineers, mechanical engineers, industrial firms for the facades, furniture suppliers, and lighting systems all working together in synergy is all too seldom discussed in architectural publications, often staying concealed from the general public.

Busselli Scherer ringrazia le realtà partner della pubblicazione: Waldner Italia, Unionbau, Carron Bau, Pichler projects, Metall Ritten, Trias.
